What's Happening in Room 34...

Things To Know...

  • The students can share what they did over the weekend with their peers on our new Padlet! Your child can access it by going to padlet.com/kbranding1/weekend . The students are familiar with Padlet because we use it in the classroom regularly, so they should have no problem sharing a picture or just a few wordsI look forward to sharing it during our class meeting tomorrow!
  • I am sure you heard about the taxation activity we did on Friday.  The students were unfairly taxed throughout the day.  They had to pay (with skittles) taxes for using the computers, sitting on our carpet, turning in papers, etc.  They quickly realized how the colonists felt as they had fun playing along.
  • The students will receive a new set of spelling words on Monday and will be tested over them next Thursday.  They should be practicing them at home to help prepare for their test.
  • Our last Scholastic book order will be coming home later this week!
