What's Happening in Room 30.............

Important Announcements:

• This is a short week due to Thanksgiving Break.  There is no school Wednesday through Friday.  Happy Thanksgiving!!
• Mid-Quarter Reports will be coming home on Monday.  Please review, sign and return as soon as possible.

What's Happening in Our Room....

Reading Workshop:

• The students are encouraged to read aloud to a stuffed animal again this week to practice their fluency.  This is a perfect time to read to your child so you can model fluency, as well.                                                             

Writing Workshop:

• The students will finish the 1st draft of their persuasive essay.  The students have been focusing on writing to a specific audience and using confident language to help persuade the reader.

Math:

• We will review Chapter 5 on Monday and test on Tuesday.  The students have been working hard learning the steps to multiplication.  
• Your child can practice facts using the multiplication math games I have posted on our blog and through ALEKS using the Quick Tables.

Science:

• The students will about the 3 rock types and how the they are formed.

Social Studies:

• The students are learning about early Missouri Explorers and Native Americans.
