What's Happening in Room 30............

Important Announcements:
  • The students were given their spelling words on Friday and will be tested  on 9/24.  The list consists of 3 spelling words from their writing, 5 content words and 5 words containing a pattern.  They will be assigned two spelling assignments; one this week and one next week.
  • The students were given 2's and 3's multiplication flashcards last week.  They should be practicing them a few minutes every night to help them master their facts.  As your child works towards higher levels, I will offer flashcards for them to take and use at home.  There are also math site links on the blog that the students can use to practice the facts, as well.
Word of the Week: comprehend (from our reading lessons).  To help us comprehend what we are reading, it is helpful to put yourself in the character's shoes.
