What's Happening in Room 34...

Things You Should Know...

  • Your child brought home a 1st Quarter Reflection on Friday.  They spent time last week reflecting on the quarter by looking at their academic growth, study habits, and classroom behavior.  The students also included goals for the 2nd quarter.  Please review, sign and return this week.  They will be returned to your child later this week.
  • Our school-wide Adopt-a-Family tradition starts on November 5th and will run through December 14th. This is a program that allows us to help those in need in our Crestwood Elementary School community.

Each week, we ask your children to bring in different items to donate.  We will also have fun events at school for all the kids to participate in.  Additionally, we will collect gifts for the families in need through the Virtual Giving Tree, which is administered via Sign-Up Genius.

This first week we're asking students to donate protein/food itemsand this week’s Fun Friday is Crazy Sock Day!  Don’t forget to wear crazy socks and bring in a dollar if you can.  If you have any questions about the Adopt-a-Family program, please feel free to contact Melia Harris (314-406-1114 or meliaharris@att.net) or Ann Kleitsch (314-729-2400 x 3004 or annkleitsch@lindberghschools.ws).

This week we will talk about what courage looks like and feels like We all know that having courage is not always comfortable because courage and fear exist together, but teaching our children the importance of having courage will build their confidence and enrich their daily lives. Here is a great article on building courage in our children.
