What's Happening in Our Room....
Reading Workshop:
  • We will continue to practice using F.U.N. (find, underline and number) and finding text proof when answering questions about a given text this week. Having the students pre-read questions and then go back to the text to find answers are two strategies we have been working on in class.  The students use F.U.N. when they locate the answer in the text.  They find the answer, underline it and place the question number next to the answer.
Writer's Workshop:
  •  The students are creating wonderful google slides for their informational writing pieces.  This week, they will begin to edit their writing and decide on specific text features to include in each slide.
Math:
  • The students are continuing to learn about fractions.  They will be adding, subtracting and multiplying fractions this week.
Social Studies:

  • The students started social studies this past week with Ms. Dausmann and are learning about the life of a pioneer.
