What's Happening in Room 34.........
Things You Should Know....
- This week, we are collecting cleaning products for Adopt a Family! One or several items are GREATLY appreciated for our Crestwood families! If you would like to sign up to donate specific items on the Giving Tree, please use this link!
- Reviewing multiplication facts daily will GREATLY help your child with math. I am seeing students struggle and becoming frustrated with division. Confidence can remain high when students have mastered their facts!
Dates to Remember.....
Wednesday:- Science Fair Information Night - 6:30 - 7:30
Thursday: Dining to Donate at Papa Johns
Friday: - Wacky Hair Day - to support Adopt a FamilyThursday: Dining to Donate at Papa Johns

What's Going on in Our Classroom....
Reader's Workshop:
Reader's Workshop:
- The students began reading their chapter book for Book Clubs today. They will be meeting approximately every other day to discuss their book. The students are learning how to lead their discussions and decide on reading pages and written task on their own. They did a WONDERFUL job today working with their groups. You will see the book coming home to be read during their 20 minutes of "at home reading".
Writer's Workshop:
- The students will decide on their topic for their persuasive essay this week. Today we spent time brainstorming ideas. Feel free to talk about topics with your child to help him/her make a decision.
- The students will be working with a new set of vocabulary words from Flocabulary.com this week.
Math:
- The students have been working on dividing numbers up to 4 digit by 1 digit. We will continue to work with the steps this week. They will review on Thursday and will be tested over the material on Friday.
- The students are assigned to complete at least 3 topics on ALEKS at home by Friday.
Social Studies:
- We will be wrapping up our chapter on the different regions of the United States and the Native Americans who once thrived on the natural resources. We are focusing on the resources each region offered to help create the artifacts.
